Paul is a seasoned professional in M&A, Project Finance, Strategy, Internationalization, Cross Boarder business development, Valuation, Entrepreneurship, Advisory, C-level management, Board Membership and ESG, Carbon & Biodiversity Markets and Projects. Founder and Managing Partner of Qala Partners , a business advisory, structuring and development firm in Latin America; Founder and Managing Partner of Qala Capital , investment vehicle with focus on Clean and Fossil Energy developments, infrastructure and technology business development operation in the Balkans including Refineries, Energy, Airports, Ports, Hospitality and related Real Estate among others; Partner of N8V Technologies an ESG focused advisory and structuring shop with a special focus in North America and US native lands and Canadian First Nations lands. Paul is currently managing director of N8V Technologies and Qala Group. In 2022 participated as CFO and COO in the development of a carbon credit developer in Brazil for foreign investors having delivered a pipeline in excess of 8 million ha of indigenous lands for REDD projects. Also participated in developing the project of a 1.5Bn Euro 100k bpd Oil Refinery, a 2.3 Bn Euro Resorts, Casino, Convention and Commercial venues, Marina and Managed Real Estate complex in the Balkans. Paul is also on the Board of QCH, currently developing an initial 100 M USD worth of investments across Ethanol plants, Biogas Powerplants, Diesel engines efficiency enhancement technology for fleets and Waste Treatment Innovative technology in Brazil. He was a member of the Board of ProNatura International, associated to IFC (WorldBank) on the adoption of the Shared Value Platform, a blended financing framework that permits de-risking high impact and large investments across multiple geographies.
He is a member of the Board of Porto Romano Refinery ShA. He is also a member of the board of Latam Gym, one of Smartfit Peru shareholders. Previously Paul was founder and CEO of Crowley Broadcast Analysis Brazil, the leading radio market and media information and research company in Brazil. Founder & Partner of MediaMonitor the leading provider of Pay TV market and media information and research company in Brazil which was sold to IBOPE (now Kantar Ibope Media), COO at Brazil Internet Group – BIG, a early stage internet companies nursery back in 1998 and CTO at Banco Destak SA. Serial entrepreneur, seasoned, result driven executive of early stage to rapidly growing operations, works very closely on Hyper Impact Investments across Latam, Europe and Africa with the smartest impact capital networks in the US, Euro and Middle East, member of the board of directors at various companies and mentor to start-ups.
